About Ruth
Celebrated British printmaker Ruth Green makes limited edition screenprints from her Birmingham studio in the UK.
Trained originally in textile print and design, Ruth makes small edition screenprints of col-ourful subjects that raise a smile. Animals and plants are a main theme, with a nod to mid-century design and a Scandinavian style.
After graduating Ruth worked as a freelance textile and pattern designer before setting up her own print studio. Her work has been used commercially by many familiar high street stores including Ikea.
In 2011 Ruth’s first book 'Noisy Neighbours’ was published by Tate Publishing as part of their innovative range of books for children. The book was inspired by a print of the same title. 'Stanley's Plan' was published in 2015 and 'Hedgehog Holidays' in 2017.
Tate have also commissioned a range of toys and baby-wear which are sold alongside the books in their gallery stores.
