About Robert

Robert started his creative journey in the art room at school and has not stopped.

Mentored by Sir Roland Penrose, Robert has had many exhibitions over the years; his first one man show was at The I.C.A. in London. In the 70s he worked for David Lewis as an illustrator. He was also under contract with the Archer Gallery, Dover St, London. After that Robert became a permanent exhibitor at the Portal Gallery on Grafton St, London.

Robert’s current work is detailed, bright and cheerful with a surreal twist; it has proved popular on puzzles. 56 years into his career, Robert is inspired daily and continues to create beguiling unique art.
