About Len

Len was born in Philadelphia and has a BA in Advertising and Communications from Penn State University. He is a self taught cartoonist / illustrator with a studio in Narbeth, PA outside Philadelphia.

Len has produced illustrations for publishers, ad agencies, design studios, private businesses and major corporations worldwide. He is the artist for the Phillies baseball team’s mascot, “The Phillie Phanatic” and has illustrated 18 editions of the Phanatic books to date.

Len’s work is detailed and full of quirky characters and local narratives making it very popular for licensing on puzzles.

He claims that when he started he was painting on cave walls, moved to pen and ink, watercolours and is now totally digital. Len drawers on a Wacom tablet from sketch to finish.
