About Denise
Denise has always had a lifelong love of flora, fauna and art. Trained in Wildlife Illustration at the Dyfed College of Art in Wales she went on to illustrate a variety of books for a number of clients including Letts Educational Publishing, Scholastic Books, Autumn Publishing, Dominie Press and WHSmiths.
Denise lives in a converted Post Office and her studio is the old sorting office. Inspired by the natural world, Denise is fortunate to lives on the edge of the South Downs where there is an abundance of wildlife and is only a few miles from the wonderful South Coast.
In 2018 Denise won the Christopher Parsons Award for Artistic Excellence at The International Wildlife Art Society Exhibition and has been Artist in Residence twice at the beautiful Nature in Art Museum in Gloucester in 2017 & 2019.
Denise has a passion for the wonders of print, specifically reduction linocut and is producing some fantastic work in this fascinating medium.
