About Debbie
Debbie has a passion for painting trees and birds. She continues to wander around the UK countryside looking for sun-kissed trees and beautiful wildlife.
Debbie’s artistic path started when she was growing up in the midst of ancient woodland in the heart of the Hertfordshire Countryside and by being surrounded by the wonderfully inspiring art of Daphne Baxter her famous wildlife artist mother. Daphne taught Debbie how paint as did Christiane Kubrick, wife of film director Stanley.
Debbie paints in acrylic preferring the vibrant colours, allowing her to explore her chosen trees and birds with expressive realism. She exhibits in the Saffron Walden Art Gallery- Saffron Walden and the Brunswick Gallery In central London.
Debbie has also published a beautiful full colour painting and poetry book depicting her painterly journey through the woodlands of Britain called ‘Into The Woods’
In 2019 Debbie appeared on a BBC Countryfile Cambridgeshire episode where she and Anita Rani walked through Wandlebury Country Park talking about the importance of trees and how she approaches capturing their splendour in paint.
Currently Debbie is working on new projects in the beautiful mountains of the Snowdonia National Park in Wales.
