About Barbara

Barbara Mitchell was a self-taught artist who developed a truly unique style of her own – paying particular attention to the individual character of her birds and animals. Barbara researched her subjects meticulously and painted her animals in minute detail, placing them within an exquisite but real setting often with a dash of fantasy.

Barbara had many exhibitions including the Mall Galleries London and had a permanent selection of work at the Halcyon Gallery. She was a member of the Royal Miniature Society and the Women’s Watercolour Artists Society.

Barbara’s work is collected worldwide especially in America the UK and Japan. It continues to have an appeal and has been licensed on to many products.
