About Pen

Pen and Gwyn is the brand created and designed by Nicky Mills.

Having previously been an English and Art teacher working in countries such as South Korea and Spain, Nicky’s work is inspired by the lighter, whimsical side of life. Finding animals to be a universal language, Nicky uses bright colours and quirky expressions to bring them to life in a way both adults and children can enjoy.

To achieve her designs, Nicky starts with watercolour and pencil originals which she then uses to create a digital collage.

Recently Nicky’s work has been noticed by Kirstie Allsopp and offered the chance to be displayed at Hampton Court Palace in London at The Handmade Festival.
