About Cathy

Cathy’s work is a reflection of things she like and places she has been. From the vibrant colours experienced during her travels in India and the Middle East to the shapes and patterns of her garden.

Cathy studied illustration at Bournemouth and Poole College of Art and Design. Since leaving she has branched out in several directions. Cathy gained years of experience in design studios and publishing companies and then turned to a life of freelance illustration which she has found suits her very well. The many years spent working in-house have made her very versatile and she is able to adapt her style very easily to suit the needs of specific projects.

In the beginning Cathy’s illustration was all traditionally produced, but by the late nineties things had changed, and although she still loves to paint she prefers to work in Photoshop for commercial projects but often combines traditional painting and digital methods.

Cathy works from her home studio in North London. She welcomes new challenges and thrives on working to deadlines.
